![]() On the left panel of the Group Policy Editor, you will see several folders. Once in the “Microsoft Defender Antivirus” folder, locate and double-click the “Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus” policy on the right panel. The undo file is « Enable Defender.reg », which is also included in the ZIP archive. Microsoft Defender is now permanently turned off. It will allow you to configure Defender using a special GUI option. If you have Windows 11 Pro, Education, or Enterprise edition, then you can go with gpedit.msc – the Local Group Policy Editor app. ![]() ![]() Download the app from here, install and run it.
